Studio You x Nike grows PE lesson offer for girls

9th September 2026

Following the success of the partnership's first year, PE teachers can access three new Studio You lessons in dance, yoga and fitness to help more girls find what moves them.

Studio You is inviting PE teachers across England to bring the Studio You x Nike partnership into their schools with some fresh content this academic year, as they launch three brand-new, ready-to-use PE sessions for 2026.

Available now on the Nike hub on the Studio You platform, the new lessons – in dance, yoga and fitness – are designed to help more girls aged 11 to 16 enjoy being active, build confidence and feel included in PE.

Studio You is a free online PE platform, developed with the team behind This Girl Can and We. Social Impact, providing curriculum-linked video lessons and teacher resources that help more girls enjoy being active.

Unlike the previous shorter-form ‘bitesize’ lessons, the new 20 to 30-minute sessions provide a complete PE lesson in a single video, taking students through warm-ups, skill development, practice activities and cool-downs.

Our senior campaign activation manager, Dani Ward, highlights the new videos build on the success of the first year of the Studio You partnership with Nike, which launched in April 2025.

"Every girl deserves the chance to enjoy being active and feel confident in PE," she said.

"The new Studio You x Nike lessons have been developed in response to what girls and teachers told us they wanted: activities that are engaging, inclusive and easy to use in a real school setting.

"By providing complete PE lessons in dance, fitness and yoga, we're making it easier for teachers to offer positive experiences that help girls build skills, grow in confidence and discover what moves them.

"We're excited to see schools across the country bring these sessions to life this academic year."

Each lesson, delivered by Nike Trainers, includes adaptations and different intensity levels, demonstrated by a second instructor, to support girls with varying confidence, experience and fitness levels.

Designed to reduce planning time while supporting inclusive participation, the lessons offer teachers a flexible way to introduce new activities and help more girls experience movement in a positive, supportive environment.

Dance and yoga were chosen as a focus for the new content because they’re among the most-used activities on Studio You, with girls describing dance as exciting and something they wanted more of in PE, while teachers highlighted fitness as an effective way to engage mixed-ability groups.

Building on what's working

The Studio You x Nike hub saw strong engagement among girls and teachers in its first year.

95% of teachers agree students enjoy PE more with the Nike lessons.

97% of girls agree the Nike lessons help them to feel more included in PE.

95% of girls agree the Nike lessons include a range of activities that make them feel more comfortable taking part in PE.

The 2026 content has been developed to build on these strengths and in response to feedback from teachers and girls about how the content is currently being used and where there are opportunities to enhance it further.

Teachers said they wanted resources that were easier to incorporate into a full PE lesson, while girls highlighted the importance of activities that help them build skills and confidence over time.
